Congratulations! You have discovered the Easter Egg page. Well done. I wasn't going to write a "Biography" as there isn't much to sing songs about (pun intended), but since you are here, I shall share my journey so far with you Sp acewolf is the nom de plume of my musical venture. An Ophthalmologist by training, I have been making music in parallel with medical work since the beginning of my career. As a junior doctor working in Jersey, Channel Islands, I was encouraged by fellow doctor-turned-composer Tandis Jenhudson to perform acoustic covers in Open Mic events. This eventually lead to a performance at the Sark Folk Festival in 2012. My medical career took me to Hong Kong, where I was recruited by local Grunge band Debaaaser as a guitarist/vocalist, and recorded a 4-track EP in 2015. As the band went on a hiatus, I took on more solo projects, and my musical interests diversified to encompass a broader range of sound palette, experimenting with short film scores (Dreamers 2018, Aoi Ito 2019), ambient soundscapes (Sooner or Never EP), and generative instrumental composition (Sir Sid 2021). In 2022, I collaborated with Tandis Jenhudson, to create the soundtrack for "JK show Death on Daytime" - a 2-part documentary commissioned by Channel 4. In the same year, I released my debut self-titled concept album, inspired by a sci-fi dystopian short story. Entirely self-produced and recorded over a period of six months, the majority of the production was done in my home studio, with additional contribution from friends and musicians from around the world. Notable collaborators on the album include James Beaumont (Sax, The Quickening), Sean Hurley (Bass, John Mayer), Matt Jonson (Drums, Jeff Buckley), Larry Walters (B3 Hammond, Joey DeFrancesco), Chris Brown (Mix Engineer, Radiohead/Muse). With a profile that is elusive to define, my work will continue to transcend boundless genres, explore new textures, in the pursuit of expressing the alpha state of mind through music.
